Canvas LMS

Canvas is not intuitive, but it does work. A few tips and hints:

Warnings:

1. Don't use new quizzes; they don't play well with api.

Grades

Publish Grades. For years I updated grades manually in our systems called, The Nest. I only found out this semester that you can click "publish grades" in canvas. Canvas will sync grades with our Nest system automatically!

If you don't see it, check settings for navigation links and ensure it's visible.

Grading Scheme

Had to duplicate the default and edit to eliminate the c- and d+ and d- grade brackets.

You need to choose a few options like semester, students (all or select some) and mid-term vs. final, but it's very smooth, big time saver.

Appears you can't download the "new" quiz type. Checking on that one.
